Currently, Nancy is involved in the following organizations:

American Leadership Forum ALF

Gives leaders from the most diverse elements of their community an opportunity to build trusting relationships with each other and to develop skills in collaboration that can be applied to benefit the community.
Senior fellow, Executive Committee Member, 2016 Chair of the Board & served on numerous committees since 2011.

National American Leadership Forum

ALF is a national, nonprofit organization dedicated to building stronger communities by joining and strengthening diverse leaders to serve the common good. There are seven chapters located throughout the United States. Each chapter tailors its Fellows and Senior Fellows program to the region it serves. Board Member

KVIE -PBS for Northern California

Serves nearly 1.4 million households in a 16-county TV Market, the nation’s 20th largest. PBS KVIE’s mission is to inspire the viewer to explore the world and connect with their community through the integrity of public media. Board Member

Previous involvements:

Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Cap to Cap

50th Anniversary of leaders from across six counties and 22 cities in the Capitol Region went to our Nation’s Capitol to address local issues and advocate for the region through its twelve policy teams. It is the largest long-standing delegation of its kind. The Civic Amenities Committee explored how live music venues support a region’s economic vitality and contribute to a thriving sense of community. Civic Amenities Planning Committee Member

2015 American Cancer Society Hope Gala: 2015 Sacramento Hope Gala

Sacramento’s 7th Annual American Cancer Society Gala, “A Bounty of Hope” Saturday, September 12, 2015. We raised over $425,000 and netted $385,000 which was a 74% increase over the year before. Event Co-Chair

City Year

Unites young people of all backgrounds for a year of full-time service as corps members where they work in the classroom focusing on attendance, behavior, and core curriculum.

BIG Day of Giving

In 2013 a movement was started to encourage residents of the Greater Sacramento region to donate money to local nonprofits.

UC Davis School of Education

The school offers Ph.D., Ed.D, and M.A., degrees in education, as well as single and multiple subject teaching credentials.
Board of Advisors Member

Farm to Fork Festival

In 2012 First-time festival was attended by 25,000 highlighting Farm-to-Fork offerings that are produced and available in the Sacramento region.
Created an effort within the festival to raise funds for the six-county food banks

Capital Region Women’s Conference

A collaborative annual event for women which focused on health and wealth.

UC Davis MIND Institute

A collaborative international research center committed to the awareness, understanding, prevention, care, and cures of neurodevelopmental disorders. As Event Co-Chair for three years raised over $275,000. As board chair, she was involved in the hiring of the executive director, and instrumental in creating an awareness event that brought in over 900 people.

National Breast Cancer Fund

Identifies and advocates for the elimination of the environmental and other preventable causes of breast cancer. Co-Chair of the Sacramento Gala for three years raised $250,000.
